After extensive study and research the hard white wood of the hornbeam tree of the birch family was chosen for the bristles. They have a strong resistance to breakage and maintain their exceptional smooth qualities.

All WIDU^® products including our traditional wild boar, mixed bristle, baby brushes and combs are only finished with purified linseed oil or beeswax. No toxic lacquers are used. No matter which style you choose, choose Widu^® and not an imitation.

 This year our Italian manufacturer obtained certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) verifying  and approving our long held policy. 

 Buying a FSC certified forest product supports environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economic viable management of the world's forests.
